Children and Donkeys

Our donkeys Speedy and Gonzales are a child’s best friends.

Good-natured, patient, and always friendly, they carry the children upon their back, let children groom, pet, and feed them. Even if children forget them for a while afterwards because of other games or something else Speedy and Gonzales won’t be angry. As soon as the children are back they pay attention again and they are patient with the kids till the party is over.

A children’s birthday or any other party for children is an unforgettable event for young and old.

Parish festival in Klarenthal on 27th June 2010

On Sunday, 27th June 2010 Speedy and Gonzales were guests at the parish festival in Klarenthal for the first time. Having great weather we could welcome many new friends. Some of them joined us even during the World Football Championship game Germany v. England. Their ethusiasm is shown in their beautiful painted pictures.

Christmas market at the coppermine in Dueppenweiler

At the coppermine in Dueppenweiler a christmas market took place at the new buildings for a stamp battery and a melting. In winterly weather there were more children than last year. But because of the new setting we couldn´t offer picture-drawing. But some parents sent photos, more will may follow.

Barnfestival of Naju at the barn Neuhaus

There was once more a hustle and bustle at the barn Nehaus. And Speedy and Gonzales were amongst it all. The children enjoyed it very much beeing with the donkeys. All the the great pictures are a proof for the children´s enthusiasm. The picture are so good that you think that not every picture is only paint by the child.

There was only little time for taking photos in the quieter moments.

[Translate to English:] Am 06.09. feierte auto aktiv sein 25-jähriges Firmenjubiläum mit einem großen Familienfest. Der Andrang war einfach überwältigend. Neben Attraktionen wie Hüpfburg und Zauberer Ludwinikus waren natürlich Speedy und Gonzales der absolute Renner bei den Kindern. Und das sozusagen wortwörtlich, denn gut vier Stunden lang mit nur kurzen Pausen trugen sie die Kinder stets geduldig auf ihrer Runde.

Die Kinder waren begeistert und malten wahnsinnig viele Bilder. Hoffentlich ist die Flut, die jetzt folgt nicht zu groß, aber wen hätten wir denn außen vor lassen sollen?

[Translate to English:] Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein und sommerlichen Temperaturen besuchten Speedy und Gonzales das Sommerfest am Jägerheim in Saarwellingen. Wie zu erwarten, gab es unter den Jägern zwar nur wenige Kinder, diese waren aber um so erfreuter, dass sie neben den ganzen langweiligen Erwachsenen wenigstens die Esel hatten. Vor Begeisterung beim Eselführen, Eselstreicheln und natürlich Reiten, haben etliche doch glatt vergessen, ein Bild zu malen. Natürlich lockten auch noch die anderen Attraktionen beim Dorffeschd. [Translate to English:] Ferienstart nach Kinderart, Honzrath 2009

[Translate to English:] Bereits sehnsüchtig erwartet begann das Eselreiten gegen 14.30 Uhr. Speedy und Gonzales waren so begehrt und nachgefragt, dass wir gar nicht zum Fotografieren kamen. Viellicht schickt uns die eine oder andere Mama oder auch der Papa noch ein paar Fotos. Es hat sich auch gezeigt, dass Speedy und Gonzales schon richtige Stammkunden haben! Leider war der erste große Auftritt für Speedy etwas viel. So tat ihm das rechte Hinterbein weh und wir mussten eine halbe Stunde eher gehen, schade. Zu Hause hat er sich aber wieder prächtig erholt. Zur Sicherheit haben wir ihn auch untersuchen lassen, es ist wieder alles o.K.

Also, dann sehen wir uns beim nächsten öffentlichen Auftritt auf dem Topfstädter Dorffeschd am Sonntag, dem 02.08.2009.
