On Saturday, 3rd of October the first Ceilidh in our region took place in the community hall Diefflen. Therefor we could win the HLI Ceilidh Band from Edinburgh to perform tis ceilidh here. Dave, John and George travelled there and back only for this evening.

This Scottish dance event was a great success here in the Saarland. People got closer in nice and funny way by dancing. but also passionate non-dancers enjoyed themselves by dancing and watching dancing. A wondeful feeling of being a community arose. this feeling found its expression by singing the obligatory "Auld lang syne". There is a well known German version which was sung this evening. All participants came forward and everyone sung. It was just amazing!
